KEPALA BATAS: A 31-year-old woman was left RM12,580 poorer after she befriended a man believed to be part of an African scam syndicate on Facebook.
According to Seberang Prai Utara OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor, the victim, a bank officer, befriended the man, who claimed that he is a Malaysian citizen working as a pilot in Poland.
