SIBU: Sibu Hospital will be the first hospital in Sarawak with a drive-through pharmacy, says State Assistant Health Director (Pharmacy) Abu Hassan Alshaari Abdul Jabar.
He said this facility would be available by the end of the year, adding that this was being done because of the difficulties finding a parking spot at the hospital.
Abu Hassan said that the building would be ready by the end of October and that it would take a month to find staff to man the building's drug dispensing counter.
"We have been receiving complaints from people who say that it is very difficult for them to find parking spaces at the hospital during office hours," said Abu Hassan after officiating the state-level World Pharmacy Day 2019 and Sarawak Medical Counselling Week on Saturday (Sept 21).
Presently, the hospital has 600 parking bays, with 400 reserved for staff.
