ScreenX makes action movies come alive

AS new cinematic technologies become available, the arrival of a larger screen with a wider perspective opens up more possibilities for audiences to get more satisfaction out of their visit to the cinema.

Thanks to Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd (GSC), this is now possible with ScreenX, which adds screens to the left and right of the cinema, effectively opening up your viewing pleasure up to 270°.

Imagine watching a chase scene with the view of being inside a car, where you can also see the view on the sides as well, watching the scenery zoom pass as if in real life. It's amazing!

Then again, you might think that it will be confusing to watch a movie on all three screens at one time. Fortunately, only certain segments of a movie will be receive the treatment to be shown on all three screens.

This makes ScreenX great for panoramic scenes, while the focus is still on the main screen upfront.

One viewer recently recounted his enjoyment watching the horror flick It: Chapter Two on ScreenX.

"The experience was very different from your usual cinema. Personally, the storyline becomes more engaging and realistic, "said Sufian Osman.

Meanwhile, another movie buff, Mohamad Hazib also expressed his excitement with ScreenX technology. He said the use of ScreenX in the right scenes made a huge impact on him as a viewer.

"Panoramic scenes chosen for the 270° screen really stand out. It draws you in as if you’re part of the movie," Hazib said.

In addition to the 270° panoramic screen, ScreenX viewers can also expect extra comfort with the hall’s plush eco-leather seats.

ScreenX is now available to movie-goers to GSC One Utama. Tickets are available at RM29 per pax.
