IPOH: A war of words has broken out between Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak and the Perak Mentri Besar's adviser Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin.
In a statement issued Thursday (Sept 19), Farhash hit out at Zainol, saying that the latter was affecting the administration of the state."An adviser to the Perak Mentri Besar should be more alert to facts and not argue until he loses perspective," he said.
"The mandate given to me is to criticise when something seems wrong," he added.
Farhash was commenting on Zainol's remark that the state Pakatan Harapan component party leaders should not pressure Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu into making decisions over administrative matters.
Zainol was reported to have said that state party leaders should not question Ahmad Faizal's responsibilities in managing the state when decisions do not favour them.
Farhash had reportedly called out Ahmad Faizal to administer the state responsibly and not be stubborn when doing so.
This started when Farhash had questioned the delay in the appointment of local council members from PKR.
Farhash said all the names given have been through a filtering process to ensure they are qualified.
"The Mentri Besar himself was present during the process too," he said, adding that local councillors from his party have not been appointed in four districts, namely Ipoh, Kerian, Selama and Taiping.
"I urge everyone to learn how to work together and to respect the minutes of the Pakatan meeting rather than making decisions out of whim and fancy.
"It should be stressed that this is not the first time this has happened and the Mentri Besar needs to be aware of the abilities of his advisors that is affecting the administration of the state," he added.
