KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Law Society (SLS) wants to see more judges with Bornean experience in hearing cases from Sabah and Sarawak, as they will show more empathy and understanding towards unique situations involving communities from these two states.
Its president Roger Chin said this following a recent decision by the Federal Court in Putrajaya rejecting a bid by Sarawak Iban communities to review a ruling that their native customs had no force of law in the state.
