Thai wildlife poachers caught in anti-poaching operation


PETALING JAYA: Two Thai wildlife poachers were detained in Royal Belum State Park in Perak in an anti-poaching operation, says Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister Dr Xavier Jayakumar.

He said the two were detained on Tuesday during the Operasi Bersepadu Khazanah (OBK) by the special team comprising officers from the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) and the police’s General Operations Force (GOF), which also included members of the Senoi Praaq battalion.“A total of 15 hedgehog spines, two fangs of an animal, two turtles, a part of a fox, as well as various trap meshes, were discovered.
