KUANTAN: Pahang Barisan Nasional will liaise with the party's top leadership on the orders and decision to cooperate with PAS in its state administration.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail (pic), who is also the state Barisan chief, said whatever agreements and "muafakat" between both parties would be streamlined with the central leadership as understood and portrayed in the national level cooperation.
Wan Rosdy said it was important to avoid any overlapping work and misunderstanding or contradiction in the cooperation.
"We just signed a charter pertaining to the cooperation. There are more matters and groundwork to be done and spelt out.
"Further discussion is needed to ensure the success of the national cooperation," Wan Rosdy said.
He was asked to comment on PAS' plan to include Umno in Kelantan and Terengganu in its respective state administrations.
Pahang is one of two states still held by Barisan.
There are currently eight PAS assemblymen in Pahang while Barisan holds 25 seats and Pakatan Harapan, nine.
