Schools in Tangkak to close if API continues to hover above 200

JOHOR BARU: As the Air Pollutant Index (API) reading in Tangkak hit 211, the Johor government has advised schools in the district to close if the air quality continues to hover above 200.

State Local Government, Urban Wellbeing and Environment Committee chairman Tan Chen Choon said the government would act as stipulated under the National Haze Action Plan to handle the situation.
