KUALA LUMPUR: The Magistrate's Court sentenced a Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) worker to a year in prison for cheating an individual of RM1,900 on the pretence of helping the victim to purchase of a house in Rawang.
Magistrate Aina Azahra Arifin passed the sentence on S. R. Kavitha, 35, after the accused pleaded guilty on Friday (Sept 13).
