Jazz up your home with great decor ideas

Stylish living: Visitors taking a look at the furniture at the event in Starling Mall in Damansara.

PETALING JAYA: It does not matter if you live in a studio apartment or bungalow because the Perfect Livin Home Expo is ready to provide the best home decor solutions for you.The expo is taking place at the Starling Exhibition Hall in Starling Mall until tomorrow.

Some 350 exhibitors are showcasing a range of products such as beds, sofas, dining tables and landscape designs.

I.Star Ideas Factory Sdn Bhd director Jason Yap said the location was ideal as the Starling Mall had sufficient parking bays, as well as great eateries for visitors.“Based on the feedback we received from the previous exhibitions, many wanted the event to take place in the heart of Petaling Jaya. “Even the exhibitors are excited to be here as it attracts urban families who are always on the lookout for home decor improvement,” he said.

Yap added that the timing of the exhibition was also right.

“Many would want to have new items for their homes by next year. These items are custom-made and would take some time. This is the best time to place an order for a good deal,” he said.Furthermore, he said exhibitors wanted to close the year with a great sale. “They are throwing in bargains and freebies,” he added.

Managing director of regular exhibitor Maxly Landscape Sdn Bhd, Low Kok Kong, said the business was now more innovative and catered to the individual needs of clients.

“We could create a waterfall and amazing landscape for as low as RM8,000 using fibreglass, which is light and cost-effective. Yet you get the same effect as those made using concrete.“We have landscape solutions for those living in condos. We can create waterfalls and fishponds within two hours as our products could be easily installed,” he said.“This gives clients a variety of landscape options and help them stretch their money with the same product.”

He said this was unlike the “old-fashioned method” which required many workers to build a waterfall fish pond that would take several months to complete.

“You may even damage your home due to the heavy use of concrete,” he said.

The expo offers gifts, prizes and hot deals to visitors.

The first 500 visitors of the day will receive an exclusive limited edition of a Perfect Livin Dry Bag 2L. Those who register themselves at the expo will stand a chance to win some gifts, too.

Those who like, post and tag five friends on the Perfect Livin Home Expo Facebook page also stand a chance to win prizes.
