Seberang Jaya passport counters closed


BUTTERWORTH: The passport counters at the state Immigration Department headquarters in Seberang Jaya here will be closed from Monday till Oct 31 to facilitate renovation and rewiring works.

Its director Muhamad Husni Mahmud said they did not want any interruption while work was in progress.

He said the public could go to the branch office in George Town.

Besides the normal operating hours, he said the branch office would also open during Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 1pm.

“Those who do not want to go to the George Town office for passport application can also go to the nearest Immigration office branches in Kulim or UTC Sungai Petani. They can also apply online, ” he said.
