PETALING JAYA: A former rhythmic gymnast has criticised those who belittle the sport, saying that it is an official Olympic event and not one which is a “frou-frou hobby”.
Sarina Sundara Rajah, who won gold at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2001 SEA Games, described rhythmic gymnastics as poetry in motion, adding that athletes had to go through hours of training and practice.
