JOHOR BARU: The state government hopes to gain more feedback from the public regarding the upcoming Johor Budget 2020, which is set to be unveiled in November this year.
Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal said feedback and comments from the public would be crucial for the state government as it would allow them to decide on how to prioritise things in the budget.
"I hope all Johoreans, including those who are not currently living in the state, will help us by giving their ideas and opinions for the budget.
"We want the Johor Budget 2020 to be one that is people-friendly," he said to reporters when met after visiting UPSR candidates at SK Temenggong Abdul Rahman 1 here on Wednesday (Sept 4).
He added that the state government had begun collecting feedback from the public for the budget since Sept 1 and would continue to do so until Sept 30.
"We will look into all aspects of things, and priority will be given to things that the public find important," he said.
In a post on the Mentri Besar official Facebook page published on Sept 1, Dr Sahruddin urged the public to give their feedback for Budget Johor 2020.
He said he wanted the budget to be holistic and inclusive while taking into account the opinions and ideas of the public.
