PUTRAJAYA: Multiple charges, including for power abuse, await a former high-ranking official of a Felcra Bhd subsidiary as he is brought to court today.
Rohaizat Ahmad, who last held the position of managing director of Felcra Training and Consultancy Sdn Bhd, will face charges at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court, said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
Its chief commissioner Latheefa Koya said Rohaizat would be facing charges under Section 23 of the MACC Act.
“He has been asked to attend court at 8.30am tomorrow (today). Details of the charges will be made known when they are read out, ” she said yesterday.
Rohaizat is said to have used misappropriated funds and his position to distribute training contracts worth RM4mil.
Last September, MACC raided a Felcra Bhd subsidiary in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, and seized financial documents as well as those related to training course contracts worth RM4mil.
The commission was probing an official in the subsidiary over suspected abuse of power in appointing at least 10 companies which he had interests in.
