Prosecution given one week to amend name in Pekan Umno suit


KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has given the prosecution seven days to amend the name of a respondent named in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) forfeiture suit against Pekan Umno.High Court judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali gave the order after dismissing Pekan Umno’s application for the suit to be struck out.

He also ordered MACC deputy public prosecutor Allan Suman Pillai to amend the name of the respondent from Pekan Umno to the office bearer of the Umno division.
