Civil Defence Force gets Leia the drone

GEORGE TOWN: Armed with a 10x optical zoom camera, the Civil Defence Force (APM) in Penang can now read your vehicle number plate using a drone hovering 40 storeys up in the air.

But fret not, the department’s latest unmanned aerial vehicle will be used primarily for search and rescue missions in the hardest to access terrain.
