KOTA KINABALU: Security agencies in Sabah are awaiting for federal funds to start sea checkpoint operations in a bid to strengthen safety at sea.
Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) commander Datuk Hazani Ghazali said sea checkpoints are important to curb cross border threats and to ensure that the revived barter trade can go on smoothly.
