PETALING JAYA: Audit firm BDO Malaysia is back to give its full support to the much anticipated #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2019.
For the third consecutive year, over 100 employees with their family members will join thousands of others to walk for unity and peace this weekend.
The company’s advisory executive director Mok Chew Yin said his staff were looking forward to the event, which will be held for the first time in the evening in the Klang Valley.
He lauded the annual campaign for its efforts in promoting diversity, unity, harmony and tolerance among Malaysians.
“BDO’s humble beginnings started in Seremban back in 1964 and one could say we grew up with the nation.
“Now in this new Malaysia, we have also made significant steps towards a more progressive and developed nation.
“It is our duty to share these important values with our children and youth.
“This year’s theme, #BetterMeBetter Malaysia is timely to make them aware we are coming together as one, ” he said, adding that over 70% of the staff who are joining the walk are aged 30 and below.
At BDO, Mok said unity and diversity have been the firm’s cornerstones.
“Our employees are from diverse backgrounds, religions and cultures.
“They don’t just merely work together as teams, as our culture encourages all of us to build meaningful and lasting relationships.
