JOHOR BARU: Police have detained a man for allegedly storing cigarettes smuggled in from Indonesia at an unused shoplot in Pontian district about 87km from here.
The Southern Region Two Marine Police (PPM W2) Asst Comm Paul Khiu Khon Chiang said the 34-year-old suspect, believed to be the owner of the shoplot located in Kampung Permata Duku, Pontian, was arrested at around 8.15pm on Wednesday (Aug 20).
