High Court says drug probe incomplete, frees trio

SHAH ALAM: Family members shed tears of joy after the High Court here ordered the release of a woman, her fiance and their friend who were charged with drug trafficking, an offence that carries the mandatory death sentence.

Justice Abdul Halim Aman ordered Kamarul Izwan Rasidi, his fiancee Nursyuhadah Md Zain, both 28, and their friend Amaluddin Gulam Mohamad, 26, to be acquitted and discharged after finding that the prosecution had failed to establish a prima facie case against them.
