SIBU: The Miri Royal Malaysian Customs Department confiscated 6, 684 sticks of contraband cigarettes and 238.68l of beer worth RM1, 718 with unpaid taxes amounting to RM8, 650 during a raid on a house in Desa Senadin in Kuala Baram on Wednesday (Aug 14).
State Customs director Datuk Sharifah Halimah Tuanku Taha said on Thursday (Aug 15) that a man was also arrested during the raid for allegedly being in possession of the items.
