Robbers pull off daring jewellery heist


IPOH: Four masked men,armed with machetes,robbed two men of jewellery worth about RM1mil they were transporting in two cars.

The daring robbery took place at about 6.30am along Jalan Chin Hwa in Taman Chateau here yesterday as the two men,in their 30s,were on their way to Kelantan with their employer’s jewellery,said Perak acting CID chief Asst Comm Anuar Othman.He said two men rammed a lorry into one of the two cars with the jewellery and the lorry driver and another man grabbed four bags containing jewellery from the two cars.
