'No prayer ban during office hours in Perak'


IPOH: No factory or company in Perak has issued a ban against their Muslim workers performing daily prayers during office hours, said state Islamic and Religious Education, Rural and Entrepreneur Development Committee chairman Asmuni Awi.

"There is no case of factories or private companies banning their employees from performing either daily or Friday prayers, ” he told reporters yesterday after the presentation of letters of appointment by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, to mosque officials from Kuala Kangsar, Gerik, Lenggong and Pengkalan Hulu districts, at the Perak Islamic Administration Institute here.
