Task force to expedite citizenship matters

KUCHING: The Home Ministry will set up a special task force to expedite all matters related to citizenship applications, including those from Sarawak, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.The task force, to be headed by the ministry’s secretary-general and deputy secretary-general, is expected to resolve a large number of applications by year-end.

“The rest will be resolved as soon as possible, ” the Home Minister told reporters after handing over citizenship certificates and letters of approval to 31 recipients at the Urban Transformation Centre here yesterday.
