EC should have more power to clean up electoral roll, says committee

KOTA KINABALU: The Electoral Reform Committee (ERC) wants the Election Commission (EC) to have more powers to clean up the electoral roll.

ERC chief executive Amerul Muner Mohammad said that dead constituents are still named on the list. The electoral roll also includes incomplete addresses of voters, and dubious voters holding identity cards particularly highlighted in Sabah.
