KUANTAN (Bernama): A man was cheated of RM9,500 after being duped into lending money to an individual posing as one of his friends on WeChat.
Pahang Commercial Criminal Investigation Department head Supt Mohd Wazir Mohd Yusof said 53-year-old victim claimed the suspect contacted him on Tuesday (July 23) saying he was "Gan" and had switched to a new phone number.
