Great deals aplenty at StarProperty fair

KUALA LUMPUR: The two-day Star­ fair at KLCC is ramping up with many developers all geared up to exhibit their projects.The fair, to be held this weekend, is in conjunction with the extension of the Home Ownership Campaign and will offer good deals for potential homebuyers. Admission is free.

One lucky buyer will get the chance to furnish his or her dream home with furniture from Ikea for free while two other buyers stand a chance to win a petrol card and shopping vouchers. There are lucky draw prizes which include hotel stays and indoor skydiving vouchers.

The first 100 early birds to pre-­register online will receive a free potted plant from Midorie.

Besides that, the Beli&Menang contest will give lucky buyers a chance to win a brand-new Proton X70 from the moment they make their very first booking of their dream home to the moment they successfully sign the Sales and Purchase Agreement.

Fun-filled activities such as the kids colouring contest, Grow Your Own Salad workshop by Serbajadi Gardening, and Coffee Scrub Work­shop by The Hive Bulk Foods are also lined up for the fair. has also assembled a line of prominent property experts to speak at the fair.

Among the topics to be discussed are strata management, property investment strategies and guides on house purchase.

Chee Hoe & Associates founding partner Lai Chee Hoe, speaker for the strata management topic, said homebuyers can better their grasp on the rights and obligations as owners of stratified properties.

“They can also understand the basic idea of how to spot breaches or ensure compliance of these rights,” he said.

Wealth Momentum Sdn Bhd founder Dr Ivan Kok will be advocating the use of his code when purchasing a property.

“It serves as a clear guide to help property purchasers avoid mistakes,” said Kok.
