KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan should take heed of the observation by Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah that it may self-implode, says Datuk A. Kadir Jasin.
“Tengku Razaleigh is a very experienced politician. He has been in politics as long as Tun Dr Mahathir.
“So, his observation about political matters should not be rejected outright,” he said when met at the sidelines of former Singapore High Commissioner to Malaysia K. Kesavapany’s book launch on Thursday (July 18).
Tengku Razaleigh earlier said there is a possibility that the Pakatan Harapan coalition will self-implode, following the internal squabble involving two top PKR leaders – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
He said this would depend on whether Azmin or Anwar commanded more support from lawmakers to be the next prime minister.
Kadir, however, declined to say if he believed that the Pakatan coalition will be in turmoil over the rift between Anwar and Azmin.
“It is always good for political parties to hear and take heed of what parties opposing them are saying.
“Since Tengku Razaleigh is from the opposition, and he’s commenting on the government, I think the government parties should take note of it,” he said.
