SIBU: Four women were among seven people arrested on suspicion of being involved in vice activity in a massage parlour.
The four women were a 31-year old Chinese national and three Filipina aged between 25 and 31.
Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the police raided the centre located on Jalan Wong King Huo at 4.30pm on Tuesday (July 16) for suspected immoral activity.
The 44-year-old operator of the business, he said, was also nabbed for employing another Chinese national, 31, without a working permit.
"We also picked up three customers from the centre to act as witnesses," he said.
Another local man, 22, was also detained at the centre for his alleged involvement in selling illegal 4D, an offence under Section 4A (a) of the Common Gambling House Act 1953.
ACP Stanley said the police team seized RM4,381, a business recording book, a modem, a monitor and a CCTV recorder.
"All of them, except the three customers ,have been placed under lock-up for investigation," he said.Did you find this article insightful?
