Court allows Najib to attend Parliament sitting on Tuesday (July 16)

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The High Court here Friday (July 15) allowed an application by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is on trial for misappropriation of RM42mil in SRC International Sdn Bhd's fund, to debate and vote on the constitutional amendment to reduce the voting age from 21 to 18 in Parliament on Tuesday (July 16).

The Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2019 to reduce the voting age is expected to be tabled for the second and third reading today and requires the support of two-thirds or at least 148 of the 222 Members of Parliament for approval.
