Health Minister: No cause for concern after 11 Orang Asli warded with malaria in Kuala Lipis

PUTRAJAYA: There is no cause for concern on malaria outbreaks despite reports that several Orang Asli from Pos Lenjang in Kuala Lipis, Pahang had contracted the mosquito-borne disease, says the Health Minister.

Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (pic) said the type of malaria that the Orang Ali contracted was Plasmodium vivax malaria, which is a mild type and not life-threatening.
