KUALA LUMPUR: Lim Kit Siang was taken on "a trip down memory lane" by Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong on Facebook Sunday (July 14).

Several of the DAP advisor's blog posts (in Chinese) on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad were shared on Facebook by the MCA president.

"I do not hate Mahathir but am anti-Mahathirism - racism, power abuse and corruption," said Lim in a blog post on July 7, 2012, which was shared by Dr Wee.

Dr Wee's post came in the wake of Lim's exclusive interview published in an English daily Sunday titled "Kit Siang: I have never said Dr M was corrupt".

Lim, 78,  was quoted as saying that he had never labelled Dr Mahathir as corrupt even during the latter's first stint as Prime Minister from 1981 to 2003.

"I have never said he's corrupt. You can go through all my statements. It is all on record. (But) I would say there were instances of abuse of power," said Lim in the interview.

But in the run up to the 13th General Election (on May 5, 2013), Lim had, in a blog post dated Feb 18, 2013, described GE13 as a chance for the people to vote against Dr Mahathir's 22 years (Prime Minister from 1981-2003) of being a dictator and corruption.

Two years later, on Feb 12, 2015, Lim, again on his blog, claimed that corruption started during Dr Mahathir's 22 years (tenure as Prime Minister) and that corruption was at its worst during the period.

Dr Wee described Lim using a Chinese proverb, "Lying with eyes wide open to fool the people", saying Lim's blog posts were the evidence.

He said the DAP advisor was out to flatter Dr Mahathir - the second time around as Prime Minister with DAP as part of the government now.

"Dr Mahathir once said 'Malays easily forget' (Melayu mudah lupa). Now, the DAP Chinese have forgotten completely (langsung lupa)," said Dr Wee.

Dr Wee also attached a video which showed Lim in Parliament asking Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir whether he knew the meaning of KKN (Kronisma, Korupsi dan Nepotisma) or cronyism, corruption and nepotism in English, which he said was synonymous with Dr Mahathir's administration.

Lim said Malaysia was known to the world as KKN during Dr Mahathir's administration and asked if Mukhriz agree to this.

Mukhriz was the Jerlun MP while Lim was the Ipoh Timur MP at the time.
