Remote areas to get fire stations

IPOH: Fourteen fire stations will be built next year in remote areas where residents live in longhouses, stilt houses or on islands.

Two stations each would be built in Sabah and Sarawak while the rest would be located in the peninsula, said Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kama­rud­din.
