DESPITE Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik’s statement that unvaccinated children will still be allowed to attend school, a lawyer has highlighted provisions in the Federal Constitution that can be used to restrict the movements of these children, including preventing them from going to school.
Litigation lawyer Wan Azmir Wan Majid said that Article 9 and 10, which ensure one’s right of movement, assembly and association could supercede Article 12 - one’s right to education - if that person has an infectious disease that could harm others.
