PASIR PUTEH: Tourism Malaysia is counting on all parties, particularly state governments, to help it achieve its goal of 30 million tourist arrivals in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020, says its senior director (domestic and events) Mohd Nasir Kushairi.

“Next year’s campaign is estimated to generate RM100bil in returns,” he said at a corporate social responsibility programme held at Pantai Bisikan Bayu here, where 80 participants cleared the beach of rubbish.

Mohd Nasir said his team was there as part of a visit to the East Coast to update the agency’s promotion campaign of attractions in the region such as the beaches of Terengganu and Pahang, as well as the rich arts and culture in Kelantan including mak yong, wayang kulit and dikir barat. — Bernama
