Bulldozer operator killed after being hit by falling branch

KUALA KANGSAR: A bulldozer operator was killed when a tree branch fell on him at a logging site in Sungai Akar, Sayong here.

Kuala Kangsar OCPD Asst Comm Razali Ibrahim said the branch, with a perimeter of 40cm, fell on Chan Kok Loi, 63, on Saturday (July 6) at about 8.30am.

"He was rushed to the Kuala Kangsar Hospital, but was pronounced dead.

"The post-mortem report found him to have died from severe head injury," he said in a statement.

"His 31-year-old son Mun Hong has claimed the body," ACP Razali added.
