KAJANG: Seven people on the police wanted list are among 46 suspects rounded up following swoops on drug dens in Kajang town and Semenyih.
OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the suspects comprised 44 Malaysians, a Myanmar national and a Palestinian.
He said they were being held for various drug-related offences.
“A majority of them were doing odd jobs. They were in the midst of getting their drug supplies from the dealers,” he added.
ACP Ahmad Dzaffir said 59.92g of substance, believed to be heroin worth RM2,100, were also seized during the raids.
“We are consistently raiding suspected drug dens to address the drug menace in the district.
“One of our aims is to cut off the supply for these drug addicts,” he said.
ACP Ahmad Dzaffir commended the public for giving them a tip-off, which led to the successful raids and arrests.
