Cops nab four, seize stolen items worth RM40,000

IPOH: The police have arrested four men and recovered some RM40,000 worth of stolen belongings.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Ali Tamby said the arrests were made between June 24 and 27 at Taman Cempaka.

"We set up a task force to look into a spate of break-in and burglary cases in Taman Cempaka.

"We recovered the stolen items at a rented house in Taman Cempaka," he told reporters at the Ampang Baru police station here Wednesday (July 3).

"With the arrests, we have resolved seven cases in the residential area," he added.

Among the items recovered included a car, an electric guitar, speakers, kitchen appliances, washing machine, Astro decoders, mobile phone and computer gadgets.

ACP Mohd Ali said all four have been remanded to assist investigations.
