All schools in Pasir Gudang to reopen today

JOHOR BARU: All 111 primary and secondary schools in Pasir Gudang, which had been closed due to air pollution since Tuesday, will reopen today, says State health, culture and heritage committee chairman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar.

He said three higher education ins­titutions, 14 private and international schools, as well as 347 private kindergartens registered with state education department will also reopen. He added safety teams will be at the schools affected by the pollution to provide safety and precautionary briefings during the assembly.“All agencies involved will be stationed at the schools in case of emergencies,” he told reporters during a press conference at Menara Aqabah here yesterday.
