Level 2 US travel advisory remains for eastern Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: The US travel advisory to eastern Sabah will remain at Level 2 for now, says US Ambassador to Malaysia Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir.

Explaining the status, which is the second lowest of a four-tier rating in terms of security risks, she said this had been retained since last year and there were no plans to review the travel advisory for Americans to Malaysia at the moment.
