Biker killed after crashing into two other motorcyclists

ISKANDAR PUTERI: A motorcyclist died on the spot after hitting another motorcycle along KM21.6 at the Second Link Expressway.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the incident took place at around 7.25pm on Wednesday (June 26), when the 25-year-old victim was heading towards Perling from Singapore.

“Initial investigations showed the victim suffered head injuries," he said, adding the victim was identified as Mohd Aliff Ahmad.

ACP Dzulkhairi said the victim hit two motorcyclists who were travelling along the same stretch, causing them to fall and suffere multiple injuries.

He said the two victims were identified as Mohd Hafezzuddin Hanan Mohd Ghaus, 32, who possessed a Singapore driving licence (job unknown), and Mohammad Harith Mohd Allmay, who worked as a technician in Singapore.

Mohd Hafezzudin was sent to a private specialist hospital in Johor Baru for treatment, while Mohammad Harith has been admitted to Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Baru.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
