PETALING JAYA: Textile company Jakel has defended its dealings with former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and the Prime Minister’s Office as genuine business transactions conducted at arms length.
This comes after the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) slapped Jakel Trading, Jakel Trading Sdn Bhd and 39 other individuals and entities with a civil forfeiture suit to recover RM270mil allegedly misappropriated from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
