GEORGE TOWN: Any cooperative – including those with links to the police – should be allowed to operate as long they operate within the law, says Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

He was referring to a statement by Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador, who discovered there were 67 associations registered under the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) name – many of these businesses established under the Koperasi Polis Diraja Malaysia Berhad (KPD), a cooperative society.
