Govt spends nearly RM3.5mil on monthly food bill for detained migrants, says Immigration D-G

SERDANG (Bernama): The government spends nearly RM3.5mil a month - or an average RM12 per day, per detainee, says Immigration Department director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud.

He said this was to ensure there was adequate food, which is a basic human right, in the 14 Immigration Department detention depots across the country.
