SJK(T) Ladang West Country Timur’s football members made their school proud by winning the bronze at an international tournament in Haadyai, Thailand, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The competition between schools was reportedly organised by the Haadyai district office.

The pupils from Kajang, Selangor, were able to compete in the tournament and came in third, thanks to the efforts of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association, led by its chairman identified only as Anitha.

> The daily also reported that a couple in Tamil Nadu, India, nearly lost 1.1 million rupees (RM66,020) after the son accidentally “donated” the money.

The couple’s son, who was unaware of the cash hidden among the clothes, gave them to a group asking for donations for an ashram.

When they found out and went to the ashram, they were shocked to find an old abandoned building.

They contacted the police who managed to trace the auto rickshaw used by the group back to its owner.

Police managed to find the woman based on the information given by the rickshaw owner and recovered the couple’s savings.

They also arrested her and are looking for her accomplices.
