PETALING JAYA: Politicians who engage in gutter politics aimed at incriminating one's character are nauseating, senseless and are cowards, says The National Patriots Association (Patriot).

"They are scumbags who Malaysian people do not deserve," said its president Brig-Jen (Rtd) Datuk Mohamed Arshad Raji.

He said that looking at the way politicians fight tooth and nail against each other for positions, it appeared that they were not aware or did not care for what was to come.

He added that the intra party factional fighting within Pakatan Harapan parties is rearing its ugly head and threatens to derail the nation's reform agenda, efforts to rebuild our economy, and jeopardises plans to brace us for an impending world economic downturn that will also hit our country.

"The current factional fight within PKR, which is the largest party in the PH coalition, does not augur well for our country.

"It has potential to rip the coalition apart, sending the current course of institutional reforms and efforts to stabilise our economy into tailspin.

"The PKR leadership has to get its acts right and not allow public display of its disgustful internal politicking, " he said in a statement on Thursday (June 20).

He said that the people have voted the politicians into office and expected them to lead, set good example, and save the nation from the blunders cause by irresponsible politicians of the past administration.

"The people do not wish to see one set of irresponsible politicians be replaced with another," he said.

He added that politicians must stop the nonsense of intra party factional fighting through making public spectacle of disgusting sexual acts.

In the past week, clips of a sex video involving two men have gone viral, followed by a confession by Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who is also Santubong PKR Youth chief, that he was one of the two men in the video.

He also claimed that the other person was Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

Azmin has categorically denied the allegation, saying it was made to tarnish his reputation and destroy his political career.

Haziq is being investigated under four charges, including Section 377B of the Penal Code for carnal intercourse against the order of nature and Section 292 for distributing obscene materials.
