MELAKA: Plus Malaysia Bhd (Plus) organised its national Hari Raya gathering as a thanksgiving gesture for its staff and to find ways to strengthen safety along the North-South Expressway during future festive seasons.

Plus managing director Datuk Azman Ismail said the gathering at Bayou Lagoon Park here Thursday (June 20) was meant to say thank you to its staff and relevant government agencies involved in ensuring the safety of motorists during the Hari Raya exodus.

“We grasped the opportunity of this gathering to also brainstorm on strengthening our cooperation as well as fine-tuning the subsequent safety campaigns during festive and holiday seasons,” he said when met at the event.

The gathering was also attended by officials from, among others, the Fire and Rescue Department, Road Transport Department and police.

Azman said Plus also appreciated the commitment of its staff during the Hari Raya season.

“We had to freeze a lot of leave applications to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the festive season," he said.

Some 5,000 Plus staff were on duty to facilitate traffic management at strategic locations during the Hari Raya season.
