PETALING JAYA: Perak deputy PKR chief M.A. Tinagaran said the state chief, who is alleged to have gone missing after the release of the latest sex video scandal in the party, is on vacation.

Tinagaran said Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak is on leave, and should not be linked to the scandal.

Farhash’s name was first bandied about on social media after Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport last Friday.

Haziq had confessed to being one of the two men in the sex video, and named party deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali as the other.

“I am made to understand that he is still on holiday although he always follows political developments in the country.

“The question is, in regards to the video issue involving Haziq, why is he the one being searched for and his ‘disappearance’ sensationalised?” Tinagaran said in a press statement yesterday.

He added that he wanted to address speculation on social media over the so-called ‘disappearance’ of Farhash who is an official for party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
