GEORGE TOWN: A Syrian man has been charged by a Magistrate's Court here on Tuesday (June 18) with kidnapping his fellow countryman.
Maher, 31, was charged with kidnapping and false imprisonment of a man with the intention of obtaining a ransom of RM100,000 behind a restaurant in Tanjung Tokong at about 3.30pm on June 6.
