PETALING JAYA: Police have wrapped up investigations over allegations that Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal had assaulted and threatened a freelance researcher.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said police have gained sufficient evidence and recorded statements regarding the case.
"We will forward the investigation paper to the deputy public prosecutor.
"The case is classified under Section 323 and 506 of the Penal Code," he said when met after handing over of police vehicles courtesy of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) on Tuesday (June 18).
It is learnt that the incident occurred at an office in Bukit Gasing at about 10am on May 16.
In the incident, the 26-year-old victim was at the office when he was allegedly confronted by Farhash Wafa, who is also Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's political secretary.
The victim alleged that Farhash Wafa had scolded him before pushing and choking him.
The victim also claimed that his arm was twisted until he had to sought treatment at a nearby hospital.
It is learnt that the argument was on work related matters and the duo were colleagues.
